Experience

All the year 2 DTA students were involved in the NEA fashion design competition, 'Made To Wear' whereby we are required to use recyclable materials to create an outfit. It was a great experience although we faced quite a number of challenges and there were ups and downs during the whole process of creating our outfit.

So my team created a bridal outfit for Muslimah. It was quite tiring, tough and time consuming in creating the outfit but boy we were satisfied with the outcome of it.

So this was what my team and i created. So basically, some of the items used are, old kebaya top, tudung (scarves), ribbon, curtains etc.

We were selected for the semi-finals which happened on the 31st October. It was a great experience to be involved in such a creative competition although we were not selected for the finals. Anyway, i am glad that we didn't get selected to go for finals because school had been really busy these days so i don't think there's time for us to prepare for the finals if we were to get selected.

Never have i ever imagine that i would be doing fashion design related stuffs in my whole life because i've never been interested in fashion, not even a tiny wee bit.
